History

Born from
Chernobyl

IEA Technologies exists because its founder lived through what unpreparedness costs.

1986

Chernobyl

Radioactive rain falls over Bulgaria after the No. 4 reactor explosion. An anti-radiation first-aid kit based on local natural products is urgently produced — but issued only to the political elite.

1994

The personal cost

Founder Asparuh Karastoyanov is diagnosed with thyroid cancer traced to the 1986 exposure — and survives. Two friends exposed with him do not. The experience becomes the company’s reason to exist.

2022

IEA Technologies, Sofia

Working with specialists from the Military Medical Academy and the Institute of Cryobiology and Food Technologies, the company is established and RAM BOC, HEM BOC and ZEO BOC are registered as food supplements (12.12.2022). Manufactured in the European Union.

2023

EU trade marks

RAM BOC, HEM BOC, ZEO BOC and the Emergency Kit are registered as European Union trade marks at EUIPO.

Patents & certificates

All four marks are registered European Union trade marks at EUIPO. The supplements are registered food supplements, manufactured in the European Union.
